  Good question, Dan. Must have apps? For those who travel a lot, both "FlightTrack" and "FlighBoard" are must-have's. They will tell you whether you will get where you want to go. For keeping track of markets, nothing is better than the "Bloomberg" app--lots of news and market quotes. The Wall Street Journal app is a must-have, though it will cost you some money to get full access. Finally (and I'm leaving out Facebook, games and fun stuff apps) are those apps dealing with document management (Pages, DocsToGo and GoodReader) and an AMAZING app called PrintCentral (which allows you to print documents to wireless printers). Others?

  My vote for the one essential business app is Dropbox.

  My most used IPad apps are Pages (for word processing in Word format), Dictamus (for digital dictating--it works great), Keynote (for Presentations), IAnnotate (for viewing and editing PDF documents), Pocket Cloud for connecting to the office main frame and utilizing Word Perfect, Penultimate (for taking handwritten notes) and Drop Box (for transferring large files).

  Terrific post, Dan! Here are 2 suggestions: iAnnotate...a superb app that allows the iPad user to upload, read, edit and share documents and web pages. Also has excellent search capabilities - including the ability to search notes and annotations that the user adds during the review/editing process. You will never read a deposition transcript the same way again. Makes it easy to "carry" lots of documents with you when you travel. Another is iTap, which allows the user to remotely access his or her PC at work or at home. Turns your iPad into a virtual laptop.
