Experiential Litigation Management Program – Like nothing you have experienced before!

Our course immerses students in the process from notice of claim through litigation, formulating strategy for successful outcomes and how best to demonstrate or “make their case” to not only senior management, but to mediators, arbitrators and opposing counsel. The process is based on a complex litigation case study including identification and resolution of coverage issues, management, and analysis of multiple party fault allocations and identification of resources for liability determinations.

This year’s “must attend” content includes:

  1. Students will face actual senior management in a “Shark Tank” format. Our experts will then critique your presentations and walk you through their recommended approach.
  2. Is it ever too early to worry about Bad Faith? No. Students will learn from our expert instructors and national insurance coverage counsel. How do policy holder attorneys try to set up the otherwise good faith insurer?
  3. More Coverage: We had added at popular demand a greater focus on the complexities of coverage including risk transfer and the impact on litigation Management.
  4. The Art of Negotiation: We don’t have The Donald who seems to be busy at the moment, but we have Marty Latz who has actually negotiated in the same mine field as you students.
  5. Communication Skills: Audrey Nelson, PHD will favor us with her discussion of verbal and non-verbal communication skills as well as gender communication, conflict management, generational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Time Management: Carl Van one of the most sought after speakers and presenters at claims conferences throughout the United States and Europe. He will be addressing time management skills and with his characteristics of the “Awesome Adjuster.”

The college is sponsored by the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel as a service to senior claims professionals, third party administrators, and self-insured corporate litigation managers.
